Okay, before I start I'll apologize now for the quality of this video. I did it in rush, with my 15 year old daughter as my camera person. And this was the final take after I gave up cause the first few involved a giggling 15 year old who couldn't stop laughing. Finally when the giggling stopped, I realized that the video was taken sideways....and by the time I realized this I just didn't want to re-shoot it. Doug usually shoots my videos, but he's away on business, I can't find the tripod, nor the camera we usually use, so guess what, we are actually using my 2 year old Iphone 3. So really, this video didn't turn out too bad considering we are using all the wrong tools! Besides, you get the idea I'm trying to convey, right??
Here's the video showing you how I used stamps to create a background:
And here is the actual finished card:
I think this colour combination is quite eye catching. I played around with different colours and finally settled for this. Loved it in the end!
This weekend turned out quite glorious....sunny, yet not too hot. I spent Saturday afternoon playing with 2 of my favourite people -- Marcus and Emma Cate. They are the children of my nephew Marty and his wife, Eileen. Jordan, Alyssa and Erika came to help out, as well as my sister. We had fun eating fish and chips at Pajo's in Steveston, then ice cream at Timothy's. The afternoon was just awesome!
Hahahaaa......I realized after I posted this picture that there's ice cream dripping all down the front of Marcus' jacket! Oopsies!! Well, the messier, the more fun I think!
August is almost over, and September is just about here. Hopefully, we get to have a few more weekends like this one! Have a good week, everyone.
Lovely card, Eleonor!
