Simple. My all time favourite style. I dabble in complex....making cards with lots of layers and doodads, even add bling and zing in the way of glitter. But I only do that because it is what some of my students and customers ask for. If I stamped entirely just for me, I would only do one style. Simple. Sleek. Clean. No fuss and no muss. Like this card. I love it for its simplicity.
All I used is one stamp -- the greeting. Added some clear buttons, a couple of flower punchouts, some green thread, a scallop border and some piercing. That's it. All done.
This card is one of the cards in class that I am teaching, but it is only one of 5. The others in the class are more complex......cause again, that is what people ask for sometimes. It is almost 2 AM and I am teaching a class in a few hours, but I took a nap earlier so here I am still awake. Plus Doug leaves very early today for Montreal and Quebec and I always get up to say goodbye for each of his business trips....no matter how early.
Edited to add: I just realized I put the wrong stamp beside the card in the photo. I meant to put the same stamp as what I used on the card....which is happy birthday. But I put the thinking of you stamp there instead. I guess it really is late and I really need to go to sleep!
Kids. Aren't they just cute as pie. Specially these 2.
This is Emma Cate. She is the daughter of my oldest nephew, Marty and his wife Eileen. She is not even a year and she's already a charmer. Gonna be a heartbreaker when she grows up. I could just eat her up with a spoon.
Then there's Marcus. Handsome devil. He is Emma's older brother. What a whirlwind of energy this little guy is. He loves to run. And play. And just do STUFF. No matter what that stuff is. He is smarter than Einstein. Once at my sister's house he was trying to open up the cupboards to see what was inside...(I think he was after some cereal....) and I saw him, and said, "No....you can't open that!" And he stopped....watched me out of the corner of his eye, then when I walked away, just went right on and opened the cupboard. I love this kid! He is the perfect older brother to Emma.
Almost time to get up again now to see Doug off to the airport.....so gonna try and get at least 3 hours of sleep. Night.
