As most of you know, I like simplicity. Less is more, ya' know? Here are some very simple cards....and the only technique involved is a bit of shading. First, cut out a rectangle from scrap paper. This will be your stencil which you will use to create a shaded area.
Use a sponge and your choice of ink. Pounce up and down within the cutout with your inked up sponge and you will end up with this below.
As you can see I used blue and green. To create the dual color, simply sponge all over first with one colour (blue in this example), move your stencil a bit to one side and sponge with a coordinating colour (green in this example). This creates a background to offset your image.
And here are the final cards. I used copic markers to add colour to plain gems so they match my project. As a last finishing touch, I used a white gel pen to doodle around my central image. Below is a close up.
Shading is fast and easy .....try it!
