What does that mean....??? Well, here in Canada that means it's snowing. Yes, it is. The weather forecast didn't call for the white stuff to fall today, but I've learned never to trust the weather forecast. It's never accurate! This is a picture taken across our driveway, past the neighbor's lawn.
It's been snowing since around dinnertime and it's sticking. I hope it doesn't snow all night or else driving tomorrow will be a horror show. Here in Vancouver, B.C. anytime it snows or rains, people forget how to drive. It's quite pathetic. Thank goodness I have my snow tires on. The van still has the all season radials on, so Doug will be trekking over to Walmart tomorrow to get the winter tires on. I had a really bad allergic reaction this week to something I must have put on my face. It was BAD!! I still don't know what it could have been, but suffice it to say that I woke up on Thursday morning with my face all swollen so badly that I could hardly open my eyes. I've seen the allergist and got the scratch test (pics of those on my next post...!) and it turns out I am allergic to nothing! So the doctor said it must be a contact allergy of some sort. He gave me some anti-inflamatory cream and the swelling has now gone down, but I still have a bit of a red rash on my cheeks which should go away in the next few days. I threw out all my make up and went out today to buy all Clinique stuff, which is fragrance free and 100% allergenic. So expensive....but I'd rather be safe than sorry. I love this little cupcake card I made a few days ago.
The patterned paper is Basic Grey, Urban Prairie, the cardstock is Stampin' Up Baja Breeze and the image is from the set "Crazy for Cupcakes". I made this earlier, then felt like baking so I made cupcakes after. I am weird that way....I only have to think of a certain food, then feel like I have to have it right away. Except this time, I just baked the cupcakes, but didn't eat any. Still trying to be good!
Here's a close up. The base card is stamped with the Linen background stamp for texture.
The cupcakes are colored in using Copics and the edges of the layers are distressed using my distressing tool. You can also use a MM paper edger to do this. Can ya' see the red cherries?? I decided to put some glossy accents on them so they stand out a bit. Thought it looked cool!
Enjoy!
Those cupcakes look yummy.

You'd better hope that Clinique stuff is NON-allergenic, or else it's guaranteed to make you worse! Seriously, hope your skin is all cleared up by now, Eleonor, and you're back to enjoying the holiday rush. Don't forget your toque!

The snow is so beautiful in Vancouver, especially with the Christmas lights shining.
