Jordan is graduating from High School this year and yesterday, as part of their fundraising effort for this year's Dry Grad, they held the 2nd annual Grad Fashion Show. Dry Grad, for those who do not know, is the responsbile alternative to the usual Grad, where kids go to prom, then are free to do their own thing....which in some cases, leads to irresponsible choices including drinking. This year, as a member of the school's Dry Grad Committee, I am active in the planning of a wonderful night for the kids -- including a fantabulous dinner and all night entertainment, jampacked with prizes and goodies. The kids will remember their Grad well into their adult years after they see what we have planned for them! Jordan not only did some modelling for the fashion show, but he also was the DJ for the event.
Here he is modeling some casual wear before he headed to his DJ booth to take command of the evening's music.
Jordan has been doing the school's dances and events like this for the last 2 years and he really enjoys it. He gets this from his Dad, who used to DJ as well. He really has a knack for mixing the music and the kids at his school all like to go to the dances that he deejays. Plus he gets paid to do it! Next year, as he goes into UBC, he may not have the time to do this any longer, but for now, he's enjoying it quite a bit! He's working hard to get into guaranteed early admission into UBC, which requires an 89% average..... so far all is on course. He is averaging a 95%. I'm quite proud of my guy! Here he is modelling some formal wear with his friend from school. So adorable!
Jordan never looks at my blog, and thankfully so, cause he would die if he knew I put this on here. Ssssshhh.......don't tell!
Tomorrow is our annual teacup brunch -- all the women in my family go out to brunch every year before Christmas. We call it our teacup brunch cause we would each buy a teacup and pull names and everyone gets a new teacup. This year, just for something different we picked a different theme -- angels!! Here are some angel cards I made to give.
I'll post pics of our brunch after tomorrow!
Oh my god! Who is this handsome man?? Wow! They grow up so fast!
