How's that for a title???? Okay, here goes......
Brunch: This past Sunday was our annual ladies brunch. Each year all the ladies in my family meet for brunch just before Christmas. We normally gift each other with teacups, but this year the theme was angels. We had our brunch at the Dockside restaurant in Granville Island. Here we all are in the lobby of the hotel.
And this is what we ate......
And this was dessert......
.....which is why I got up early in the morning to work out -- 5 miles on the elliptical and 600 calories -- a full hour of blood sweat and tears......which leads me to my next topic.....
Pectorals: I'm hurting. I overdid it on one of the machines and injured my pectoral muscle. It hurts just folding laundry. I need to not overdo the weights -- the trainer warned me, but I never listen. I was folding clothes from the dryer today and it hurt just to fold a silly t-shirt. I have to lay off the weights now till the muscle heals. For the next few days, it's gonna be cardio only.
Marcus: The newest addition to our family -- isn't he a cutie pie?
Everytime I see him, I want to squeeze him and kiss him.....which is what is happening in this picture. He is 3 months old now and is starting to respond to conversation....when you say "Merry Christmas everybody!" ...he laughs and coos. It's so nice to be able to hold him and cuddle him.....I miss the baby days!!! And you should have seen him in his Sunday outfit -- you only see the top of him here....but he had a proper shirt on with a vest and jeans!! And to finish off his ensemble, he had a bib that said, "Spit Happens". I actually know some grown men who could use that bib as well. (Said men shall remain nameless.....)
One last thing..... a card. Here's a Christmas card I made using Hero Art Stamps.
Love this little snowman. I used a quickie glue pen to make squiggly lines and then tossed glitter on top for a touch of bling. Here's a close up.
Blog again later....
Brunch looks so yummy - I love the fact that you have this family tradition. As for Marcus - what a cutie. Miss you heaps Eleonor.
